I am lost in time,
lost in space,
But found and safe
in Your close embrace.

I didn't know where to go,
or where to turn…
But You sought me
and pursued me,
waiting for me to return.

For I am nothing,
nothing at all,
just an empty shell…
And then here You are
by my side,
all hopelessness in me to quell.

You are my one true love –
the One that will ne'er forsake,
No!  Never reject
nor make a mistake
In loving me.

Even though I am little and weak,
You seem to see it fit to speak
Love and hope and peace
In my ears
and promise never to cease
As long as I am here,
needing You
until I am filled to the brim
With happiness.

And that will never change.
For, even a whim,
A momentary distraction
